Trevor Conner, DO

First and foremost, I am a Christ-follower and He defines my every decision. He is the reason I became a physician and the reason I continue to pursue this purpose in my life. Because of Him my passion is to love and serve others and I pray that I do it well as I continue my training here at Cox.

Secondly, I am a husband, a son, a brother, and a friend to many of the most loving and gracious individuals that I have been blessed to know. From my roots in Owasso, OK where I grew up to Springfield, MO where my wife and I are now, I am who I am today because of my family and friends. From my parents to my grandparents, my brother to my in-laws, to lifelong friends and so many others that I don’t have the space in this short biography to name; my life and who I am is a culmination of the investment of all the love, guidance, and grace that they have given me through the years. I will point out one individual in particular and that is my wife, Brittany. She has been with me through the glamorous and not so glamorous stretches of life and is my stronghold here on this earth. Making it this far has been because of her love and support.

I chose family medicine because of its innate nature of relational care for the patient. Relationships are huge within this specialty and are one thing I will focus on most in my practice. As far as the medicine itself is concerned my passion is orthopedics and sports medicine. I love the intricacies of the musculoskeletal system and the ability of the body to remain in health as long as we take care of the maintenance, ie adequate exercise, proper nutrition, and functional wellness. These lifestyle characteristics are what I intend to encourage most in my patients.

After completing my medical education at Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine I chose to continue my training at the CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency program because it exemplifies all the characteristics above that describe who I am. This program reflects the values of family, service to others, Christ-likeness, and pursuing one’s purpose in life. This place truly was the perfect match for my wife and I as we continue to pursue the life that we dream of. It is a blessing to be here and to work with such an amazing group of physicians as I continue in this calling.

Outside of medicine, I love to spend time with family and friends and I enjoy reading. Brittany and I are true lovers of nature and we get outside anytime we can by going backpacking and hiking and we hope to start kayaking soon as well. We also enjoy spending our time in the gym or on the trail going for a run. I am also hoping to start woodcarving as a hobby soon… We will have to see if those skills have time to develop in residency. We couldn’t be happier to be at Cox and we are excited to call the Ozarks home for many years to come!
