Understanding the ChargeMaster
Hospital pricing and billing is complex. As required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, Hospitals must publish a list of prices for all offered services. This information is housed in a ChargeMaster. The charge/price amounts listed in a ChargeMaster do not reflect the amount you will pay. Your specific information such as your co-pay, deductible and co-insurance are specific to your insurance plan.
CoxHealth is committed to assisting you in understanding the complexities of hospital billing so you can make an informed decision regarding your care. Access our self-service price estimation tool or call 417-348-8930 to speak with a representative and to get an estimate for your specific service.
