Provider-based locations, also known as hospital-based, are outpatient departments of the hospital. Learn more about how this affects your billing statements.

Understanding the ChargeMaster
Hospital pricing and billing is complex. As required by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, Hospitals must publish a list of prices for all offered services. This information is housed in a ChargeMaster. The charge/price amounts listed in a ChargeMaster do not reflect the amount you will pay. Your specific information such as your co-pay, deductible and co-insurance are specific to your insurance plan.
