I grew up in a small town in southern Missouri. Being from an area with poor access to healthcare, I have been interested in rural medicine from the start, and family medicine seemed like the best all around way to do that. My years at Drury University in Springfield cemented my interest in serving the area. After graduating from Drury, I travelled to Erie, PA for medical school. Being away from family and friends for so long made my wife and I homesick (plus, we were tired of all the snow) and so we made it our goal to get back to the Ozarks as soon as possible.
My interests include rural medicine, geriatrics, addiction medicine, and behavioral health.
In my free time I enjoy hunting, fishing, and spending time with my wife, Paula, our dog, and our cat.
I am happy to once again enjoy the great outdoor opportunities that Missouri is known for and return to the community that I fell in love with from the start!
