Mallory Howard, DO

Hey! My name is Mallory, and I am incredibly excited to be part of the CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency team. I had a gut feeling from the first time I visited this program that it was the perfect fit for me! Everyone was incredibly kind, intelligent and felt like family. That sentiment continues to be the trend as I make my way in the South. I am from California, but moved to Arkansas for medical school, and now consider this area of the country home. I continue to meet wonderful people and feel a sense of belonging here.

I chose family medicine as my specialty because I truly value the connections you can make with each of your patients. I have interests in preventive medicine, wellness and lifestyle medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine. Further training and honing my skills in different areas will help me serve the community better.

I am very thankful to have a big, loving family still in California, and a wonderful partner in life, Lee, who is here with me in Springfield. We love long walks with Eleanor, our black lab, scooting around on mopeds and eating good food with friends. I am also an amateur runner and an avid connoisseur of ice cream.
