Maggie Givens, MD

My name is Maggie Givens and I am originally from Branson, Missouri. I absolutely loved growing up here in southwest Missouri and cannot wait to serve this community for the next three years!

A little about me: I went to college at University of Missouri and studied psychology while also pole vaulting on the women’s track team. I decided to apply for medical school in my last year of college after watching my parents in the healthcare field all my life. I chose to go to St. George University in Grenada, West Indies, to increase both my medical and worldly knowledge. I then did my two clinical years of medical school in Brooklyn, New York, where I was able to learn from a wide variety of instructors and patient populations.

I chose Cox after doing an elective rotation here. The faculty were incredibly gracious and treated their patients with the utmost concern, and the residents and staff showed genuine support towards each other. It was the family atmosphere I was looking for!

In my free time, I enjoy visiting my family and friends, getting involved in my local church, tasting delicious food (emphasis on TASTING and not making), biking, swimming and playing tennis.
