Kristen Snyder-Hernandez, MD

Greetings! I'm Kristen Snyder-Hernandez! I attended high school in the small town of Carl Junction, Missouri, then graduated from Crowder College and Pittsburg State University in Kansas. During undergrad, while working with Dr. Garner in Pittsburg, I discovered my passion for primary care. Ross University gave me the opportunity to pursue my lifelong dream of becoming a doctor!  My family medicine core rotation solidified my decision to practice family medicine because I love creating long-lasting relationships with patients and treating the person as a whole. While my journey has been different from most, I've had many wonderful experiences that have helped shape me into who I am today, and I wouldn't trade that for anything.

My first encounter with CoxHealth FMR at the annual AAFP conference showcased an awesome program with wonderful people, so, of course, I was thrilled to be invited for an interview. On interview day, I was blown away with everything the program had to offer and the warm, friendly people who make up CoxHealth FMR. I knew without a doubt I wanted to call this place home. Therefore, I'm extremely grateful to be spending the next three years with the Cox family blossoming into a great physician!

My professional interests include rural medicine, international health care, caring for the underserved, dermatology and women's health.

For fun, I love hiking, camping, traveling, running 5Ks and half-marathons, rock climbing, crocheting and baking for friends. I love my kitty, Dexter, who has been through everything with me over the past nine years.
