Alexandra Jones, DO

Hello!  My name is Alex, and I am from a rural town in Illinois located near the Quad Cities. I attended Augustana College in Rock Island, IL for my undergraduate education and graduated with a major in biology and a minor in art. I previously worked as a scribe in the emergency room before starting medical school at A.T. Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.

I was attracted to family medicine because of its diversity and the ability to form relationships with patients and families. I enjoy many different areas of medicine with specific interests in obstetrics, women's health, and pediatrics. I chose CoxHealth FMR because of the amazing people! The faculty, staff, and residents are all incredibly supportive and caring individuals that made me feel at home. I am so thankful and excited to be part of the Cox family for these three years! 

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and of course, my two cats, Bo and Daisy. Some of my hobbies include painting, charcoal drawing, puzzles, and playing board/video games. I also love being outdoors, hiking, and discovering new parks. I am eager to explore all that southern Missouri has to offer.
