Docudramas

A Docudrama (or Mock Car Crash) is an eye-opening experience where students can see firsthand the consequences of poor choices behind the wheel.

Observers will watch live as some of their fellow students have been staged in crashed vehicles with mock injuries. They will see firsthand the emotion and chaos of a crash scene as emergency responders arrive and work the crash as if it were real, complete with fire trucks, ambulance and even a helicopter.

Following the mock crash, we offer an assembly where we can address the crash and discuss consequences of choices including speeding, distracted driving and more. As we partner with Think First, students will have an opportunity to hear from a victim impact speaker firsthand.

A Docudrama is a very involved program where the school or organization works alongside our injury prevention coordinator to bring together emergency responders and students to participate in this event.
