CoxHealth is informing staff and providers that an employee at CoxHealth Heart Center, a standalone clinic in Branson, has tested positive for COVID-19. We are glad to report that the employee is doing well and recovering at home.
Health department representatives and CoxHealth are contacting clinic employees and members of the public who may have had close contact during a three-day period with the individual.
Infection Prevention is following up with employees who worked during this window of time, putting anyone with symptoms off work and closely monitoring all employees for symptoms.
At this time, the source of the infection is unknown.
The clinic is being cleaned extensively today and will reopen Monday morning.
