Specialty Courses AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Who should take the course?We designed this course for clinicians who have completed basic fetal monitoring training and use fetal heart monitoring in the intrapartum setting. Participants must have at least 6 months of fetal monitoring experience.Course CoversThe AWHONN intermediate fetal monitoring course addresses principles of fetal heart monitoring, including:Performing Leopold maneuversPlacement of an intrauterine pressure catheter and fetal spiral electrodeInterpretation of fetal monitoring tracings using a case-based approachIdentification of physiologically based clinical interventionsCommunication and risk management principlesCourse DeliveryThis course includes lecture and hands-on skill stations. Online prerequisite education is required prior to attending the one-day course.
