Today, many people choose to participate in athletics. Some are professionals whose physical performance is their livelihood, many are students who pursue sports in conjunction with academics, and still others are avid amateurs who participate in sports for recreation and physical fitness. Unfortunately, injuries that occur during or related to athletic competition have become common among today's active population.

The members of the CoxHealth Sports Medicine team know what it takes to compete at a world class level. Our physicians, athletic trainers, rehabilitation specialists and other medical support personnel include Olympians, national-level athletes and regionally-ranked competitors. We know that the time we spend working with athletes one-on-one will give them a competitive advantage. Our services are recognized as providing comprehensive yet personal service to athletes for sport-specific training, injury prevention or treatment. Whether you are competing in middle school or as a professional, we know what it takes to move you to the next level.

CoxHealth Sports Medicine services are provided under the direction of sports medicine fellowship trained and board-certified physicians specializing in sports medicine, physical medicine, rehabilitation and orthopedics.

• Athletic Advantage, our sport-specific conditioning program, available to all levels of athletes
