Topping out ceremony planned at the new Cox Monett

Construction work continues on the new Cox Monett Hospital, which opens next year. We are planning a ‘topping out ceremony’ at the site along Highway 60 at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14 to place the last beam on the facility. You can see the latest drone video of the progress on coxheath.com.

Joseph Haynes, MD, has joined Cox Medical Group and will be seeing new patients with Ferrell-Duncan Clinic in the OB/GYN department.

Three CoxHealth nurses in Springfield have been recognized with the DAISY Award, a national recognition for extraordinary nursing care.

Innovation Accelerator another success

CoxHealth held our fifth annual Innovation Accelerator this week at the efactory. Fifty employees worked on seven teams to present innovative ideas to a panel of CoxHealth and community leaders. This year’s winning team, coached by board member Chuck Chalender, is the CoxHealth Vocational Externship program, which will introduce high school students to different trades throughout the hospital system. Thank you to the many board members who attended the event and served as coaches for the teams.

Walk-in clinic in Lamar expands hours

Starting Monday, Feb. 3, our walk-in clinic in Lamar will expand its hours to better serve patients. New hours are Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., and patients do not have to be a patient at the clinic to be seen by a provider.

Fitness center, med spa recognized as Best of 417
