Has anything changed regarding my access to CoxHealth providers?

Nothing has changed. You still have access to the same outstanding providers you know and trust at CoxHealth. We’re happy to participate in all local UnitedHealthcare plans. 

Are all CoxHealth providers in network with UnitedHealthcare?

Why do I need a primary care provider?

Think of your primary care provider as your medical home base. The relationship you develop helps you feel comfortable discussing your health concerns, and can help your provider make sure you get the right care, when you need it. These providers can help manage chronic conditions such as diabetes or arthritis, care for sudden health concerns like a cough or the flu, keep you on-track with appropriate check-ups and health screenings and much more.

How do I get help finding a primary care provider?

Let us help you locate a provider who meets your needs. Once we have identified the best provider for you, we can schedule your first appointment to establish care. If you need to see a provider sooner, we can even schedule you an appointment with our Welcome Clinic to address your healthcare needs while you wait to establish care. Who do I contact to answer specific questions regarding my insurance plan?

If your employer provides your insurance plan, you might want to start by reaching out to your human resource department. For specific benefit/claims questions, you should call the customer service number located on the back of your insurance card.
