Women's Health Services at Cox Monett Hospital

Be sure to contact your insurance carrier early in your pregnancy to discuss your coverage. Most insurance providers require pre-certification before admission or procedures. If your insurance company provides you with a pre-certification number, be sure to let us know when you register for your hospital stay.

You can preregister online, or by calling our Admission Services team at 417-269-4051. To discuss your hospital costs in advance, review our pricing information.

Bring what you’ll need and what will provide you comfort, but keep your packing as simple as you can. You’ll want to leave your valuables at home. Some things you might want to pack include:

• Phone chargers
• Night gown and robe 
• Toiletries 
• Socks and slippers
• Outfits for you and your baby to wear home 
• Prenatal vitamins 

Enter through the north entrance of the hospital and proceed to the Admissions Services area, Monday through Friday from 6 a.m.–5:30 p.m. If it is after hours or on the weekend, go to the Emergency Room.

Our labor and delivery units feature comfortable, home-like private rooms with a television, seating for family and a private bathroom with a shower or jacuzzi tub. But rest assured – the most advanced medical equipment is here in case the need should arise.

All mother and baby areas are protected by security systems designed for the safety of you and your family. If you have questions about our security efforts, ask your nurse.

Once your baby is born, you’ll rest and recover in our comfortable postpartum units. We encourage you and your family to bond with your new baby by rooming in - keeping your baby in your room with you.

We offer private rooms with a rocking chair, infant warmer, comfortable seating for family, television, and a private bathroom with a shower.

All newborns go home with a free SIDS-prevention sleep sack, courtesy of our hospital auxiliaries.
