I was born & raised in Jackson, TN and grew up thinking I would be a paleontologist. Things changed sophomore year of high school when one of my teachers suggested I consider becoming a physician. The more I thought about it, the more I liked the idea, and thus began my journey. I attended Mississippi State University and received my BS in Chemistry. And yes, I did like Organic Chemistry. From there, I dove straight into medical school at Kansas City University (of Medicine & Biosciences). During medical school, I was accepted into an undergraduate fellowship in OMT. I spent that year practicing my manipulation skills as well as teaching first and second year medical students. I also met my husband Cory during medical school, and we went on our first date the day before I was supposed to start my initial third year rotation (in surgery, no less!). We are both very excited to move down to Springfield and begin the next stage of our lives!

I chose Family Medicine because I like all ages and prefer to be treating the entire person rather than a part of them. I also want to be the frontline for my patient to help them navigate through the world of medicine. I chose CoxHealth FMR because the people are amazing here. They are supportive, engaging, and always seeking to better themselves and their patients.

When not doing medicine, I like to cook, bother my cat Oliver and puppy Moose, nerd out, and fantasize that I could actually renovate a house while watching HGTV.
