Hello! I grew up in the Springfield area, graduating from high school in Republic. I stayed close to home to attend Drury University for my undergraduate education and graduated with majors in biology and chemistry and a minor in community health. While at Drury, I met my husband Trey. We got married the summer after graduation and moved to St. Louis together to attend Saint Louis University School of Medicine.
I love family medicine! I always knew that I was destined for primary care because I wanted a career that would allow me to create long-lasting relationships with my patients. During medical school, I realized my passion for taking care of all patients, from kids and laboring mothers to adults and geriatric patients. Family medicine allows me to care for all of these populations, which is truly a privilege. I enjoy all aspects of family medicine and my professional interests include geriatrics and hospice/palliative medicine.
I chose CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency because of the people! My interview day was filled with incredible faculty, staff, and residents and I knew immediately that I wanted to be part of their team. I am very excited and grateful to continue my medical training alongside my husband in the city I grew up in and with the community that helped make me who I am today.
Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family, baking, trying new restaurants, playing board games, doing Beachbody exercise videos, and snuggling with my cat, Gracie.
