Physician Opportunities Principal Faculty, Physician Assistant Program – Drury University Physician Job Description The Physician Assistant Studies Program at Drury University invites applicants to apply for a clinical-track 12-month principal faculty position at the rank of assistant/associate professor. Start date for this position is December 19, 2021.The University seeks innovative faculty with strong self-initiative, organizational skills, interpersonal communication skills, and collaborative work ethic. Principal faculty will report directly to the Physician Assistant Program Director, and must be team oriented and possess excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Principal faculty will be responsible for collaborative efforts in planning, evaluating, and coordinating the development and implementation of the Physician Assistant Studies Program.Duties/Responsibilities:Student instruction, evaluation, academic advising, and remediation/reassessment effortsServe as course director for assigned courses of the didactic yearParticipation in laboratory session and small group interactive sessionsParticipation in the organization, administration, continuous review and analysis in the accreditation process of the Physician Assistant Program, including applying for, achieving, and maintaining ARC-PA accreditationParticipation in implementing, coordinating, and evaluating the program’s curriculum on a continuous basisParticipation in the admissions process which consists of recruitment, interviewing, and selection of students for incoming cohortMaintain active physician assistant licenseRequired Skills/Abilities:Minimum of three years of experience in a clinical practice setting as a physician assistantInstructional and presentation skillsExcellent English-language written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as a member of a teamAbility to interface with students, faculty, and staffEducation and Experience:Master’s level Physician Assistant degree from an ARC-PA accredited schoolRequired License/Registration/CertificationApplicants must have a current NCCPA certification as a physician assistantEligibility for licensure as a physician assistant in Missouri or currently licensed in MissouriSalary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
