Overview of Unit/Department
Adult Psychiatric Units I and II provide care for adult patients (ages 18–50) experiencing acute mental health needs. Each unit includes 21 beds, divided into two wings: a 14-bed lower acuity wing and a 7-bed higher acuity wing, allowing for tailored, patient-centered care.
These units are built around a strong commitment to safety and creating a supportive, therapeutic environment that promotes healing and mental wellness. Staff play a vital role in fostering stability, trust, and recovery for patients during vulnerable moments in their lives.

- Up to $1 certification pay

Job Summary
- Provides supportive advocacy to patients and their families as part of an interdisciplinary health care team to overcome barriers to progression-of-care and facilitate a safe and coordinated discharge to the community.

Education
- Required: Master’s Degree in Social Work

Experience
- Previous experience in mental health preferred

Skills
- Good communication skills – Ability to communicate effectively in written format and/or oral presentations
- Strong analytical & problem solving skills; semi-independent in decision making
- Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment
- Exhibit initiative, responsibility & flexibility
- Must be able to initiate and understand research related to projects
- Learn and appropriately utilize all required computer applications, including but not limited to E-mail, Windows-based or Microsoft programs
- Ability to write effective documentation for processes and procedures.
- Ability to make routine decisions in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Appropriate assessment skills
