  • Job Summary
    • Facilitate defined programming including mind/body offerings and special events, exercise prescription, assessments, coordination of individual and group exercise along with teaching classes, informal and formal education, outcomes and data collection. Includes instructor hiring, training, disciplinary action and firing of staff if required. Responsible for staff scheduling, stipend pay submission, equipment assessment needs, and handling customer services issues. Also accountable for outcomes and staff efficiency, education and evaluations.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education
      • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
      • Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
    • Experience
      • Required: 2 years’ experience in class development and class instruction
      • Preferred: Previous supervisory experience
    • Skills
      • Expertise in the areas of fitness, group exercise and mind/body programming
      • Strong communication skills and positive attitude
      • Self motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision
      • Ability to manage multiple assignments and projects at one time and ability to work under pressure
      • Demonstrates competency in proper use of software and office equipment, procedures and other specialized equipment
      • Ability to troubleshoot and/or report facility and equipment issues
      • Facilitate individual and group exercise classes
      • Assist with identifying new programs and instructors
    • Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Required: Personal training and/or group exercise certification AND BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
