Job Summary
  • The Rehab Therapy Tech assists therapists in the acute medical setting including medical units and intensive care units. The Rehab Therapy Tech helps with patient treatments, providing hands on assistance as directed by the licensed therapist. The therapy tech does not perform treatment activities independently but may assist patients after therapy with personal care needs (toileting, assist with linens, providing a drink, etc.) Tech duties include preparing/cleaning and maintenance of the treatment areas. The therapy tech may also transfer and transport patients to the therapy gym. Techs also assist with inventorying equipment and supplies and re-stocking supplies. The therapy techs also provides support in the office, helping answer phones, make copies, assist customers, and with various department projects.
Job Requirements
  • Education
    • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience
    • Preferred: Previous experience in the medical field
  • Skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration
    • Required: BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
