Job Summary

The Clinic Office Assistant III provides a variety of clerical duties in the physician office setting. Duties include entering patient demographic and insurance information, scheduling appointments, collecting and posting of all payments, charge entry, answering the telephone and other duties as assigned. Knowledge of insurance requirements, practice management system, and electronic medical record. Understands how ICD and CPT coding affect charge posting. Demonstrate customer service and team building skills. Acts as staff mentor, trainer and team leader.

Job Requirements

Education

  • Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience

  • Required: No Prior Experience
  • Preferred: 1-2 years of previous medical office experience

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams
  • Proficient Computer skills
