Physician Opportunity: Non-Invasive - Heart Failure Cardiologist
Job Description
CoxHealth is seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to lead our Heart Failure Program for a well-established cardiology service in Springfield, Missouri. The physician will join a growing team currently with six interventional and non-interventional cardiologists, two electrophysiologists, three CT Surgeons, and four vascular surgeons. Our Cardiology outpatient and heart failure clinics are attached via a skywalk to Cox South Hospital.
Opportunity Highlights:
- Cardiology is supported with 17 Cardiology APPs providing outpatient support and 24/7 inpatient coverage.
- This group works from the main hospital of a six hospital system. No traveling required.
- Invasive Cardiologists perform over 4,700 cath lab procedures annually, including a robust structural program.
- This position covers their outpatient/heart failure clinic and supports our extensive cardiology program, performing and interpreting non-invasive cardiac imaging, including echocardiography and Nuclear Medicine.
- This position will assist with weekday inpatient coverage with 1:8 evening and weekend call for one hospital: Cox Medical Center South, a 706 bed, Level I STEMI Center.
- Optional research and teaching opportunities with medical students and residents.
