Cox Barton County Hospital welcomes new physician

Deborah Jarrett, DO, has joined the family medicine team at Cox Barton County Hospital. Her first day to see patients inside the Medical One Clinic will be on Monday, June 18.

Dr. Jarrett attended medical school at the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences in Tulsa, Okla., and completed her residency with Northeast Iowa Family Medicine in Waterloo, Iowa. She offers expertise in chronic disease management and pediatric and adult well visits.

“I am looking forward to contributing to the high quality health care currently being provided in the Lamar area,” says Dr. Jarrett. “I have found the community to be very welcoming and friendly—I can’t wait to get more involved.”

Dr. Jarrett is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Osteopathic Association, the Christian Medical and Dental Association, and the American Society of Clinical Pathology.

Dr. Jarrett is married with two adult children, and in her spare time enjoys camping and touring national parks.
