What to Expect as CoxHealth Transitions to MyChart
A timeline of updates as we prepare for our new patient portal on March 1
We’re updating our systems, and some things will look different for a short time.
CoxHealth is transitioning to a new electronic health record and patient portal powered by Epic and MyChart. This is one of the largest technology upgrades in our history, and it’s designed to improve how you access and manage your health information.
Over the next few weeks, some online features will be temporarily limited as we prepare for our MyChart go-live on March 1. We expect these limitations to be minimal, and we want you to know what to expect during this transition.
Once MyChart is live, you’ll have access to more features, better connectivity across your care, and new tools that make managing your health easier than ever before.
The timeline below walks through what’s changing and when.
Feb. 9
Online self-scheduling is paused
To prepare our systems and providers for the conversion to Epic and MyChart, we are temporarily pausing online self-scheduling, or appointment bookings, through our provider directory. You can expect online scheduling to resume on March 1. To schedule an appointment, please call your provider directly, or call 417-269-3000 for assistance.
Feb. 16
Sign-ups for MyChart begin
To prepare for our transition from CoxHealthNow to MyChart, download the MyChart app and sign up for a CoxHealth account. MyChart functionality will be limited until Mar. 1. Details for enrollment will be available on Feb. 16.
Feb. 22
CoxHealthNow patient portal – messaging and refill requests paused
Starting Feb. 22, messaging your care team and requesting prescription refills through CoxHealthNow will be temporarily unavailable. These features will be available again in MyChart after it launches on March 1. If you have questions about your care and the need for prescription refills during this time, please call your provider.
