You will go into a queue and see the first provider who's available. Virtual Visits for Primary & Specialty Care are available when you want to see your primary care provider or a specialist. These visits must be scheduled in advance by calling your provider. Who can receive services through Virtual Visits On Demand? Virtual Visits On Demand is available to anyone located in the state of Missouri with an acute illness, ages 2 years and older. (Note: some conditions may require children to be older than two. This is determined at the discretion of the provider.) What ages can be seen? If you've ever been treated at CoxHealth, your Virtual Visits provider will be able to access your medical record. If you haven't been treated at CoxHealth before, we will start a chart for you, do review of your current allergies and medications and conduct a short medical history. In the event of an emergency, can I use Virtual Visits to treat those injuries? Virtual Visits are offered for non-emergent illnesses and work injuries. If there is an emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. How do I request a Virtual Visit? For Virtual Visits On Demand or Occupational Medicine, you must submit a visit request. First-time users can learn more by viewing our Virtual Visits Instructions.For a scheduled Virtual Visit for Primary & Specialty Care, call your provider's office or 417-269-INFO. What happens if I have technical difficulties? If you become disconnected from the call, have trouble connecting, can't see or hear your provider or have any other questions or concerns, please call 417-269-INFO to speak with a patient navigator. Can I use my smartphone or laptop for my Virtual Visit? Yes. Virtual Visits On Demand:On your mobile device or computer you can download the Vidyo application by following these easy steps:Download the VidyoConnect app (see the links below.)Start your visit and select that you are in the state of Missouri.Enter your plan code or check the box stating you do not have a plan code.Complete the registration form.Once Vidyo is installed, you can request your visit.That's it! When you call your doctor's office to schedule a virtual appointment, they will assist you as needed with this process. You will need to use Chrome or Edge as your browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox and Safari are not supported). You will receive an email invitation and reminder to your scheduled Virtual Visit. After downloading Microsoft Teams, you will click the link within your email to join the meeting. Can I get prescriptions through this service? If the provider determines that a prescription is necessary for your treatment they can call a prescription into your preferred pharmacy. This service does not prescribe pain medications. How will I pay my co-pay? We accept all major credit cards except American Express. This includes HSA, HRA and FSA cards. Can more than one person in a household receive care? Yes, just submit individual requests for each person who needs to be seen. I can't find my plan code. What do I need to do? For Virtual Visits On Demand, your plan code may have been provided by your employer or your insurance carrier. If you can't find your plan code, call us at 417-269-INFO. You may also select the "I do not have a plan code" box, and pay the full $49 fee to proceed with your visit. Why am I required to be in the state of Missouri at the time of my visit? Our providers are licensed to treat patients within the state of Missouri, and laws regarding virtual health care services vary from state to state. As legislation changes we plan to expand into other regions. Can my minor child be treated via Virtual Visits? Yes, depending on the age of your child and the nature of his or her illness. A parent or legal guardian will be required to participate in the visit with a minor child. Who is eligible to receive services through Virtual Visits Occupational Medicine? Virtual Visits Occupational Medicine is available to injured employees working for companies contracted to receive Virtual Visit services. Who are the providers delivering my care through Virtual Visits Occupational Medicine? Virtual Visits Occupational Medicine is staffed by CoxHealth providers specializing in occupational medicine.
