Obstructive Sleep Apnea is a sleep disorder in which your breathing is repeatedly interrupted or blocked during sleep. This may occur due to muscles in your throat relaxing leading to temporary blockage of the airway
Treatment for can be with a Continuous Positive Airway Pressure Device, or CPAP. For some, having different pressure level settings when breathing in, versus breathing out, is needed, this is called a Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure machine or BiPAP.
Consistent use of a CPAP/BiPAP machine can lower the risk of heart disease and stroke. Have you been diagnosed? Call us to for help and next steps: 417-269-4663
CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure)
CPAP Therapy treats sleep apnea by delivering a steady, gentle stream of pressurized air through a mask to keep the airway open during sleep
BiPAP (Bilevel Positive Airway Pressure)
BiPAP Therapy provides higher pressure during inhalation and lower pressure during exhalation, aiding those with COPD, sleep apnea, heart failure, and neuromuscular diseases.
