MyChart FAQs

Epic is our new electronic health record (EHR) system. It allows all your CoxHealth providers to access and update your medical information in one secure location, helping improve care, communication, and coordination.

MyChart is a secure, online patient portal that gives you access to your health records, test results, appointment scheduling, and direct communication with your care team. MyChart is available via web browser and mobile app.  

Epic and MyChart give patients greater access and control over their health information. By using one integrated system, you’ll have a clearer view of your care, fewer barriers between visits, and better communication with your care team. This change helps us deliver a more consistent and convenient experience for you.

The transition to Epic and MyChart will go live on March 1, 2026. After that date, you will begin using MyChart to manage your health information. 

With MyChart, you can: 

• See your medical records, visit notes, and more from multiple providers and health care systems 
• Stay connected during your hospital stay with MyChart Bedside and view your care team, daily schedule, test results, and educational resources
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments 
• Check-in and register for visits
• Review lab work, test results, and immunizations 
• Message securely with your care team  
• View all medications and request refills
• Manage dependent child or adult family accounts
• Use Symptom Checker to find the right care near you
• Use virtual care options
• Arrange a same-day urgent care visit with On My Way
• Pay your bills or set a payment plan
• And more 

Yes. All medications on your medication list are visible. 

You can sign up online with an activation code from your CoxHealth provider, or by creating your own account.

Yes. MyChart is protected by the same privacy and security standards as your medical record.  

Some historical information will carry over to Epic, but not all. You can still request copies of older records through the Sharing Hub in MyChart.

You can link your accounts using MyChart which will allow you to see health information from multiple healthcare systems in one place. 

Yes. You can give family access to a trusted person. Parents or guardians can have access to a child’s chart until age 18. 

We recommend signing up for MyChart before your visit so you can take advantage of online check-in and complete any forms in advance. 

No, your existing medical information will be transferred to the new system, however past visit summaries and lab results will not be available in MyChart. You may still be asked to verify your information at your next visit.
