International Nurse Recruiting

Step 1: Eligibility 

Preferred experience:

A minimum of three years full time experience (paid or volunteer) in an acute care hospital. Experience is preferred in a first world country, in a facility with a bed capacity of at least 125. Experience should be obtained in an inpatient, medical-surgical setting.

Preferred education:
Equivalent to at least a bachelor's in nursing degree. 

Licensure/examinations:
Applicant must have passed or be eligible to sit for the National Counsel Licensure Examination for Registered Nurse and the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools examination. Candidates must obtain a valid Missouri RN license within 6 months of starting employment at CoxHealth. This is achieved through the endorsement process through the Missouri Board of Nursing.

English proficiency:
Applicants whose nursing education was not provided in English must pass either the Test of English as a Foreign Language or the International English Language Testing System.

GPA:
Applicant must have at least a GPA equivalent of 2.5 or above in all nursing and science subjects.

Visa screen certificate:
Applicants must initiate and receive a Visa Screen Certificate from the ICHP/CGFNS to be eligible for an immigrant visa from the consulate and enter the U.S.

Step 2: Application

Complete this application. You will need to attach these documents to your application:

1. Resume
2. Nursing diploma
3. CGFNS certificate
4. Valid U.S. RN license, if applicable
5. IELTS results
6. Transcript
7. Visa, visa screen or green card

Step 3: Process

CoxHealth contracts with an outside firm to review applications and determines which of those meet criteria. Once the application is complete and all information submitted, a review of your application will begin. Please allow four weeks before contacting CoxHealth recruiters about your application. 

Selection:

All applicants must agree to a video or live interview. Once your application is processed and found to meet all requirements, you will be contacted to schedule the interview. After the interview please allow one to two days for a response in regards to an opportunity at CoxHealth.
