In Springfield, volunteer opportunities cover the spectrum – from direct patient contact through working on nursing units, providing "retail therapy" as a Gift Shop cashier, staffing information desks, clerical duties in offices, fundraisers, sewing projects and many other areas. On-the-job training is provided. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old.
When you’re ready, volunteering here is easy. Submit an application, schedule an interview (bring a signed Social Security card; interview includes a background screening and drug screen), and attend an orientation class. The class date will be provided during your interview.
A few things to note: we prefer a weekly commitment, and a uniform is required in most areas. If you’re ready to learn how you can make an impact in your community, call us a 417-269-4169 today.
