Update on fundraising for new Cox Monett Hospital
We just received another large gift toward the new Cox Monett Hospital, bringing the total gifts for the project so far to $3.2 million. We are so grateful for the level of community support the hospital is receiving. While other Missouri rural hospitals are closing, Cox Monett is growing thanks to community support.

Additionally, one of our EMS teams was on hand to help if needed during Memorial Day ceremonies at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

Some of our Acute Care therapists recently volunteered at the Miracle League Ball Field to help patients with disabilities play a game of baseball. Each employee was paired with a player to cheer for and to assist. The field is located east of Highway 65 between Battlefield and Sunshine.
Update on music therapy program at Cox South
Earlier this month, Cox South became the first hospital in Springfield to have a Musicians On Call Bedside Performance Program, a nationwide effort to bring live and recorded music to patients in the hospital. After just a few weeks, musicians have delivered music to nearly 80 patients, family members and staff. The program has been well received. One family wrote, “Today my family and I were visiting my husband's grandpa at Cox South. You came in and sang a beautiful song. He was having a hard day and it was the first time he smiled. Once you left the room, we could tell your song helped him so much. He was awake for a while and was holding conversations. Thank you so much for sharing your talent with the world."

Voice of the patient
"I went to the Walmart clinic on Campbell. I was very pleased with the staff. The provider there was really upbeat and positive. She took initiative to check to make sure everything was affordable for me since I don't have health insurance. The secretary was also great. It was just a pleasant experience overall."
