What Is Pediatric Endocrinology?

Kids' bodies change fast, and hormones drive a lot of that growth. When something's off — like growth that's too slow, puberty that starts too early or too late, or blood sugar that's hard to manage — it can affect your child's height, energy, and confidence. A pediatric endocrinologist finds out what's causing it and helps get your child growing and feeling their best.

We treat children with:

  • Diabetes and blood sugar concerns
  • Growth delays and early puberty, also known as precocious puberty
  • Thyroid problems
  • Metabolic bone issues
  • Weight and obesity-related concerns
  • Genetic syndromes that affect hormones

When Should My Child See a Pediatric?

Talk to your child's primary care provider if you notice signs like slow growth, early or late puberty, extreme tiredness, or sudden weight changes. Your provider can refer your child to a pediatric endocrinologist if needed.
