Prevent Type 2 Diabetes

One out of three adults in America has prediabetes. Over 80% don’t know it.

CoxHealth offers a program called PreventT2 to help individuals with risk factors get active and help prevent type 2 diabetes.

This year-long program includes:

• Skills to prevent Type 2 diabetes, including losing weight, increasing physical activity and managing stress
• Guidance and encouragement from a trained lifestyle coach
• Support from people who share similar goals

PreventT2 is offered through a collaboration between the University of Missouri Extension and Cox Monett Hospital, and is part of the National Diabetes Prevention Program, led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
