Tharron Roy, MD

Hello, my name is Tharron Roy. Though born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, I grew up in Lebanon, Missouri. I enlisted in the Army National Guard prior to graduating high school and took a gap year to complete my initial entry training. I then attended Missouri State University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology. During the latter years of college, I worked as a technician in the Neurotrauma ICU at Mercy Hospital. I was then privileged to attend the University of Missouri School of Medicine, where I earned my MD. Upon entering medical school, I commissioned as an officer in the Army National Guard Medical Corps, where I plan to continue serving throughout my career.

Family Medicine has always felt like my calling. I am passionate about building meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and their families, helping them take an active role in their care. I am particularly focused on combating chronic diseases and supporting patients struggling with addiction, emphasizing education and empowerment to achieve lasting health improvements. My goal is to develop a broad scope of practice that allows me to serve patients across all stages of life and in a variety of settings. In addition, I aim to refine the skills necessary to practice combat medicine for the Army National Guard when called upon.

My faith is central to my life—Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. I have a beautiful wife, Hope, and together we have a blended family with five daughters. We enjoy spending time homesteading, going to and serving at church, and visiting Silver Dollar City. I am also a big fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and enjoy lifting weights. I feel incredibly blessed to be where I am today and am grateful for the opportunity to serve others through medicine.
