Erin Hover, MD

Hello! My name is Erin Hover. I was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma. I have one older brother, and growing up, I could often be found in a library with my nose in a book, or playing with one of our many pets (dogs, cats, chickens, and more). I attended Oklahoma State University (Go Pokes!) to study biochemistry and molecular biology, and met my husband there. After undergrad, I worked as an EMT for a local ambulance service for two years, which sparked my interest in medicine. I attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!) and have the unique experience of supporting both OU and OSU in sports.

I chose to go into Family Medicine because I enjoy the continuity of care and seeing patients throughout different stages of their lives. Primary care is the backbone of medicine, and I have a variety of medical interests, including procedures, women's health, preventive care, and more.

While visiting residency programs, CoxHealth immediately stood out to me as a place that truly cares about both its residents and its patients. I was put at ease by how friendly and welcoming everyone is and hope to display those values toward my patients and coworkers alike. I am excited to be a part of this community!

Outside of medicine, I continue to enjoy reading and spending time with my husband and dogs. I also enjoy crocheting, weightlifting, gaming, being in nature, and spending time with family and friends.
