Abby Glynn, MD
Hi! My name is Abby Glynn. I was born in Indiana and have moved too many times to count throughout my life. I have lived in Indiana, Colorado, Tennessee, Kansas, Arkansas, and now here in Missouri. I went to undergrad at Washburn University in Topeka, KS and got my degree in forensic chemistry. I took two years off from school, got married, moved states, and worked as a pharmacy technician before pursuing medicine. I attended medical school at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas.
I discovered my love for Family Medicine towards the end of my third year. I had come into medicine expecting to be a forensic pathologist, but the world had other plans for me. I fell in love with the diverse patient population, broad scope of practice, and continuity of care that Family Medicine offers. I love to learn about my patients’ lives and this specialty allows me to do just that! I was drawn to CoxHealth for residency because of the amazing sense of community that they create. You can just tell that everyone loves what they do and who they work with. I can’t wait to care for the Springfield community!
Outside of medicine, I enjoy reading, weightlifting, exploring new coffee shops and breakfast places, and watching a good TV series (anything from Kid’s Baking Championship to 90 Day Fiancé to Ghost Adventures). I love anything that allows me to spend time with my husband, Johnny, and our dog, Goober.
