CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency Applicants Letter From Our Residency Faculty and Recruitment Chair Welcome! Thank you for your interest in CoxHealth Family Medicine Residency. We are anxiously awaiting the upcoming 2022 recruitment and interview season. After two years of being limited to virtual connection, we are returning to in-person interviews! Our program has always enjoyed a rich tradition of hospitality in hosting applicants. We have missed getting to know candidates over lunches and dinners, during morning reports, on tours of our facilities and our city, and via impromptu moments in the hallways.A lot has happened in our residency family since we last had company. Our family has expanded. Starting in 2020, our class size increased from nine to ten residents. We look forward to starting the 2022-23 academic year as a 10-10-9 program. We have collaborated with our neighbors. In 2021, our program partnered with our local Federally Qualified Health Center to create a second continuity clinic site. Two residents from each new class now match with Jordan Valley Community Health Center for their continuity ambulatory experience. We are moving to a new home. In September 2022, both our residency program (CoxHealth FMR) and family medicine clinic (Family Medical Care Clinic) will move from our current location of 26 years, to a beautiful, brand new space which is conveniently on the main CoxHealth campus and connected by skywalk to our teaching hospital.Though we have undergone some wonderful changes, there are many things about our program that remain constant. Our mission to produce excellent family physicians is unchanged. Our culture of kindness, compassion and service remains strong. We continue to seek ideal team players to join us and offer comprehensive broad scope training. There are other things that we hope never stop changing. We strive to foster a growth mindset of continual self-improvement as a program and as individuals. Areas in which we are being intentional about nurturing growth and monitoring progress include diversity, equity and inclusion. We remain committed to learning from others and strengthening our community by including everyone. We look forward to your visit!Sincerely, Kristen Glover, MDResidency Faculty and Recruitment Chair* CoxHealth has launched universal COVID-19 vaccinations for CoxHealth employees.
