Cox Family Medicine Residency Applicants Letter From Our Residency Faculty and Recruitment Chair Welcome! Thank you for your interest in Cox Family Medicine Residency. We were hoping to return to in-person interviews this year, but unfortunately, rising pandemic trends have required another virtual interview season. While we realize that a virtual experience is not a true substitute for live interaction, we are working hard to give you the most authentic and meaningful interview experience that we can. We learned a lot from last year’s interview season and hope to use the feedback we gathered to make this year’s season even better! Our fun-loving residents will again be independently organizing informal, family friendly virtual “hang-outs” on the nights prior to interview days. These were a huge hit last year. The hang-outs are not part of the formal interview process, but simply provide a low stress opportunity to meet and socialize with current residents and their families. The interview day is structured to include multiple individual interviews divided by informal social breaks. There will be a group informational session provided by our Residency Administrator. Our talented residents will take you on a “video tour” of our clinic as well as our inpatient medicine and maternity care services. We will also feature short videos of both Jordan Valley Clinic, a federally qualified health care center with whom we have recently partnered as a continuity clinic site, and of the Springfield area which is set in the beautiful Ozarks. We look forward to getting to know you!Sincerely, Kristen Glover, MDResidency Faculty and Recruitment Chair* CoxHealth has launched universal COVID-19 vaccinations for CoxHealth employees.
