Join us for this one day conference to enhance the multidisciplinary team approach for emergency and trauma patients.

This conference is designed for health care professionals who care for the adult and pediatric trauma populations at all stages of care, from emergency response to rehabilitation.

• Identify the uses, restrictions, and pharmacologic mechanism of Vasopressin  
• Discuss the most up to date evidence-based literature regarding vasopressin in the hemorrhagic shock  

1300-1400: Fundamentals of Mechanical Ventilation: Strategies and Modes - Casey Ewing, RRT

• Explain general mechanical ventilation strategy      
• Have a basic understanding of modes of ventilation

1415-1515: Resiliency and Mental Health - Hank Monlinengo, RDML, JAGC, USN (Ret.) & Russell Scanlan, BS, NRP

Objectives:

• Define resilience and mental health and explain their importance in overall well-being
• Identify common stressors and risk factors that negatively impact mental health in personal and professional settings. 

1515-1615: Robotics in Acute Care Surgery: Should it Extend to Trauma?   -Tessa N. Woods, DO, FACS, FACOS

Objectives:

• Evaluate the current role of robotic surgery in Acute Care Surgery and identify which trauma scenarios may safely and effectively benefit from robotic techniques      
• Define patient selection, timing, and system-level requirements necessary to integrate robotics into trauma care without compromising resuscitation priorities or outcomes.

• CoxHealth is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
• CoxHealth designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
• This program has been approved by the APTA Arkansas approval number APTA-AR 2903 for 7.0 contact hours and it is deemed equivalent by the Missouri Board of Healing Arts per 4 CSR 150-3.203-5A.
• This program meets the criteria for category PDU #13 (attending employer-provided continuing education) and Missouri Board of Occupational Therapy per 20 CSR 2205-5 and qualifies as 7.0 contact hours (equivalent to 7.0 NBCOT© Professional Development Units).

Cancellations received by the date indicated on the program webpage will be entitled to a full refund, less Eventbrite’s fees. Eventbrite registration fees are nonrefundable and vary with each course.

After the date indicated on the program webpage as the final day for full refunds, a $25.00 processing fee will be withheld.

No refunds will be made for cancellations received the day of the activity.

If you are a no-show the day of the event and chose payroll deduct, you will still be charged the registration fee.

Refunds will be credited back to the same credit card in which the payment was received. If the payment was made in cash or check, the refund will be provided within 4-6 weeks in the form of a check and mailed to the address obtained at the time of registration.

In the event Education Center cancels or reschedules a course, participants are entitled to a full refund or the participant may transfer registration to the next scheduled activity.

CoxHealth is not responsible for travel, hotel, booking fees, or other cancellation fees for registrants when a program is cancelled.
