Baby Basics

Learn infant care basics such as bathing, diaper changes, swaddling, cord care, circumcision care, safe sleep, car seat safety, when to call the pediatrician, and calming a fussy baby. Support person encouraged to attend.

All classes are hybrid, allowing for in-person or virtual attendance. In-person attendees will practice changing a diaper, changing clothes, and swaddling a doll.

Classes are for those delivering at CoxHealth. Registration required due to max capacity. Register online by clicking below or call The Women's Center at 417-269-4664 option two. Online registration ends four days before the class or when the class is full.

If you do not receive an email confirmation in a few days you did not successfully register for the class.

For virtual attendance: Please be advised that using any online group videoconferencing software has privacy and security risks, including the possibility that another group member could be recording the session or have others in the room with them, hackers can compromise such platforms to collect login and password information, and your information can be made available to others. Please be mindful of the name associated with your Teams account because it may be visible for others to view. If this is a concern, you can log out of your Teams/Microsoft account on the desktop app and still be able to join. Teams will ask you to enter a name; please enter your first name and the initial of your last name for attendance purposes. This will be public.
