34th Annual Geriatric Conference

CoxHealth Education Center is pleased to present the 34th Annual Geriatric Conference. This one-day virtual conference is designed to enhance the knowledge of physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, nurses, nursing home administrators, physical and occupational therapists, social workers, and other interested health care providers.

Missouri Facts & Figures:

• The number of people worldwide age 65 and older is expected to triple between 2010 and 2050—from 524 million to 1.5 billion.
• In the United States, there will be approximately 72.1 million people (19 percent of the total U.S. population) over age 65 by 2030, more than twice the amount in 2000.
• Missouri shows a similar trend in the projected growth of older adults. In 2011, there were 854,652 Missourians age 65 or older (14.2 percent of the population). This age demographic is projected to reach 1.4 million people (21 percent of the population) by 2030.
• Older adults account for the largest percentage of health care spending.
• The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) report that health care spending by older adults grew 3 times that of 18 to 64 year olds in 2010. As Missouri continues to age, attention must be given to the health needs of this population, as well as the availability and cost of services.

Cancellations received by the date listed on the registration form will be entitled to a full refund. A processing fee may be withheld as indicated on the registration form for cancellations, based on the date the cancellation was received. No refunds will be made for cancellations received the day of the activity.

In the event Education Center cancels or reschedules a course, participants are entitled to a full refund or the participant may transfer registration to the next scheduled activity.

CoxHealth is not responsible for travel, hotel, booking fees, or other cancellation fees for registrants when an activity is cancelled.

Refunds will be credited back to the same credit card in which the payment was received. If the payment was made in cash or check, the refund will be provided within 4-6 weeks in the form of a check and mailed to the address obtained at the time of registration.

All refunds must be received in writing via email, Eventbrite, or by calling the Education Center.
