Cassandra Sturdy, DO

Hello! My name is Cassandra Sturdy. I was born and raised in Joplin, Missouri, where I attended College Heights Christian School. After graduation, I moved to Edmond, Oklahoma to study biology at Oklahoma Christian University. While at OC, I met my husband, Ryan, whom I married in April of 2020. Following undergrad, I worked at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City as a laboratory technician assisting with osteoarthritis research. I went on to attend medical school at the Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. During my third year at OSU, I became a mom to my sweet baby boy, Oliver.

I chose family medicine because I love the opportunity to build lasting relationships and care for patients across all stages of life, walking with them in their deepest valleys and celebrating with them on their best days. I am especially passionate about women’s health, pediatrics, lifestyle medicine, and preventative care. After residency, I plan to practice in a rural community as an outpatient primary care physician.

In my free time, I most enjoy spending time with my husband and son. I also enjoy singing, being outdoors, spending time with my family, and watching OU football with my boys. Growing up, we spent a lot of time in Branson, and the community holds a special place in my heart. I feel so blessed to learn alongside such wonderful residents and to build more memories with my family in a place that already means so much to me.
