Expert Care to Keep Your Child Healthy

At CoxHealth, we're here to support your child's well-being from day one. That starts with a trusted primary care provider, staying up to date on vaccinations, and making sure your child has the support they need to grow and thrive.

When specialized care is needed, families across southwest Missouri now have more options than ever—right here at home. CoxHealth is proud to partner with St. Louis Children's Hospital and WashU Medicine physicians to bring nationally recognized pediatric expertise to our region. As one of Missouri's top three maternity hospitals, CoxHealth also delivers more newborns than any other hospital in the region.

St. Louis Children's at CoxHealth

CoxHealth and St. Louis Children's Hospital, with WashU Medicine physicians, have opened the only independently licensed pediatric hospital in southwest Missouri. St. Louis Children's at CoxHealth is located on the campus of Cox Medical Center South and provides:

  • A Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) for newborns who need specialized support
  • A pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) for children with complex or serious conditions
  • Inpatient pediatric care designed for children and teens
  • And more

A freestanding Specialty Care Center—offering pediatric specialty clinics, ambulatory surgery, imaging, infusion, and dedicated urgent care—is planned to open on the same campus in summer 2027.
