ACL Injury PreventionHigh school athletes have a 1 in 100 chance of tearing their ACL. If your sport includes cutting, jumping, landing and pivoting, your risk of injuring your ACL is even higher.

ACL injuries are not only traumatic –loss of a sports season, possible loss of scholarships and more – they are expensive. Per athlete, it costs about $17,000 to reconstruct and rehabilitate an ACL injury.

Sportsmetrics™ is the first training program scientifically proven to improve neuromuscular ability in athletes by increasing hamstring strength and teaching athletes how to land from a jump and cut/pivot in safe positions, with proper body positioning. This six-week jump training program meets three times per week on alternating days.

Sports metrics Training Includes:

Dynamic Warm-up

Prepares your body with functional-based activities that use sport-specific motions; raises core body temperature; increases blood flow to your muscles and improves flexibility, balance and coordination.

Plyometrics/Jump Training

Focuses on correct jumping technique. This training is divided into three, two-week phases. Each phase has a different training focus and the exercises change accordingly. Develops the muscle control and strength critical for reducing the risk of knee injury and increasing jump height. Speed & Agility Training: Emphasizes body alignment and form while you perform sprinting and cutting movements. The goal is to condition your body and increase your skill level.

High Intensity Strength Training

With an emphasis on body alignment and form, this training provides structured (yet adaptable) strength training guidance. Focuses on developing your core strength and improving your overall muscular efficiency. This can be done with or without equipment or free weights.

Flexibility Training

Stretching is essential to achieve maximum muscle length, allowing your muscles to work with power through the complete range of motion. This is important for decreasing injury and post-training muscle soreness. Individual training and team rates are available, and Sportsmetrics can be performed at your school gym to accommodate your team. Each session lasts for about 90 minutes.
