For under $5, it’s possible to make a big difference for kids in the hospital.
Through March 31, CoxHealth’s Child Life department is holding a “distraction” drive to collect items – such as light-up spinners, ink pads, art supplies, playing cards, packs of Play-Doh and infant rattles – for children of all ages in the hospital. The donations will be used by children in all areas of CoxHealth’s hospitals in Springfield, Branson, Monett and Lamar.
“Distraction can help ease the pain, fear and stress associated with a hospital stay for our youngest patients,” says Sadie Reynolds, Child Life Specialist at CoxHealth. “Even the smallest of items can really make a big difference for our kids.”
Donations may be dropped off Cox South’s North entrance. For more information about donating items, call (417) 414-2621.
