Experiencing flu, COVID-19 or other respiratory symptoms?
This flu season is different. If you're experiencing flu, COVID-19 or cold symptoms of any kind, you might be wondering what kind of testing you need and where you should go for care. Common symptoms might include fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, sore throat, headache, muscle aches, loss of taste or smell, congestion or runny nose, diarrhea, nausea or vomiting. See our symptom comparison chart for more information.
Primary Care is your first line of defense
If you're sick, the best place to start is calling your CoxHealth primary care provider for a quick assessment. They can discuss your symptoms and direct you to the right next step. They'll help determine if you need an in-person visit, a Virtual Visit or any testing. Look up your provider's contact information in our provider directory. If you don't have a primary care provider, call 417-269-INFO.
Need care now?
