Prepared Childbirth - Springfield - Two-day class

In this class, you and your support person will learn what to expect before, during, and after childbirth. Content includes late pregnancy expectations, process of labor and birth, medical interventions, cesarean sections, newborn and postpartum care, and pain relief and comfort measures, including position changes. Tour of our Labor and Delivery and Women and Newborn units included. Plan to attend during the last trimester of your pregnancy.

Videos of Breastfeeding, a Vaginal Birth, and glimpses of a C-Section will be shown.

Offered in-person or virtually. In-person attendance will allow for more hands-on help with position changes and unit tour.

This is a two-part class. This event shows Part One and you would attend Part Two the following week during the same time. A one-day Saturday class is also available. See separate event for details.

Classes are for those delivering at CoxHealth. Registration required due to max capacity. Register online by clicking below or call The Women's Center at 417-269-4664 option two. Online registration ends four days before the class or when the class is full.

If you do not receive an email confirmation in a few days you did not successfully register for the class.
