Breastfeeding Basics - Springfield

Discussion topics for this class include:

• The importance of breastfeeding
• Correct latch and positioning
• Preventing nipple pain
• Signs baby is getting enough milk
• Collecting and storing milk

Support person encouraged to attend.

Videos of breastfeeding and hand expression will be shown.

All classes are hybrid, allowing for in-person or virtual attendance. In-person attendees can assemble and adjust pump settings on two types of breast pumps if desired and see other lactation supplies.

Classes are for those delivering at CoxHealth. Registration required due to max capacity. Register online by clicking below or call The Women's Center at 417-269-4664 option two. Online registration ends four days before the class or when a class is full.

If you do not receive an email confirmation in a few days you did not successfully register for the class.

Teams will ask you to enter a name; please enter your first name and the initial of your last name for attendance purposes. This will be public.
