Babysitting Basics

For ages 11-14 interested in babysitting. Learn the basics of child safety, first aid, and age-appropriate activities. Due to the lesson and our available class space, this is a drop-off class. Parents should return to pick up attendees by noon. Snacks will be provided.

All classes are hybrid, allowing for in-person or virtual attendance. In-person attendance for this class allows for participating in a craft, snack, and relay race with a baby doll, including diaper changing, dressing, and swaddling.

Call The Women's Center to register at 417-269-4664 option two. Registration is required for all classes and ends three days before the class starts.

For virtual attendance: Please be advised that using any online group videoconferencing software has privacy and security risks, including the possibility that another group member could be recording the session or have others in the room with them, hackers can compromise such platforms to collect login and password information, and your information can be made available to others. Please be mindful of the name associated with your Teams account because it may be visible for others to view. If this is a concern, you can log out of your Teams/Microsoft account on the desktop app and still be able to join. Teams will ask you to enter a name; please enter your first name and the initial of your last name for attendance purposes. This will be public.
