The Neurology Department of Ferrell-Duncan Clinic is seeking a fellowship-trained vascular neurologist (BE/BC) to join an established neurology practice. The group provides services to one hospital, Cox Medical Center South, a 644-bed, Level 1 Stroke and Level 1 Trauma Center in Springfield, Mo. Medical directorship is available with this position.
The CoxHealth Stroke Center was the first primary stroke center in the region to achieve Stroke Gold Plus Status from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association. The Center is also designated by Neurosource as a Neuroscience Center of Excellence. Cox Medical Center South has a dedicated 27-bed Neuro ICU and an inpatient neurological unit.
The neuroscience team at CoxHealth offers state-of-the-art care for patients with brain and spine diseases, disorders and injuries. The group of eight neurologists practice general neurology with subspecialty care in neuromuscular diseases, epilepsy, sleep and vascular neurology.
