CoxHealth is searching for a BE/BC fellowship-trained infectious disease physician to join our existing hospital-based clinic. This candidate will join two physicians and one physician assistant. The practice is 100 percent infectious disease and average 15 to 20 new consults per week, including inpatient and outpatient consults. The practice includes all facets of infectious disease, including antimicrobial stewardship, infection control, outpatient HIV care, outpatient consultations, inpatient consultations and some travel medicine.
Telemedicine is also available. The outpatient clinic is attached to the hospital and the infusion center is connected to the office. There is access to a full service clinical micro lab, including virology and molecular labs. The schedule includes regular daytime hours plus consultative services, no night call and no admitting to the hospital.
