Physician Job Description
CoxHealth is seeking a BE/BC cardio thoracic surgeon to join the cardiology department. The department consists of two cardiothoracic surgeons, four vascular surgeons, seven interventional and non-interventional cardiologists and one electrophysiologist. This physician group conducts more than 4,000 procedures annually.
Physicians provide coverage to one hospital, Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, a Level 1 trauma, Level 1 stroke and Level 1 STEMI center. Cox Medical Center South has three operating rooms, including a state-of-the-art hybrid operating room, specially constructed with all the traditional operating room capabilities plus advanced imaging equipment found in a cardiac catheterization lab.
